FAQ's
- Can we have visitors onsite?
Unfortunately visitors are not permitted onsite.
- Do you accept dogs at Black Hall Lodges?
All of our lodges are now non pet lodges.
- Is the BBQ charcoal or gas?
Charcoal (not provided but we do sell this on site) except Couples VIP & New Hampshire which only accept disposable BBQ's.
- Do all the lodges have towels and linen provided?
Yes, and your beds are made up for your arrival. Please bring additional towels for the hot tub & pool.
- Is using a sat nav to get to your destination a good idea?
No, as we are rural it chooses inconvenient roads. Therefore we suggest you enter Knighton, Powys, into your sat nav and then follow the directions on your paperwork.
- Do all mobile networks have signal on the park?
No, only EE, which is very limited. However, there is an on site payphone if you do not have an EE mobile phone.
- What is the earliest time we can check in on our arrival?
4:00pm is the earliest time. We do not offer an early check in service sorry.
- What time is the leisure building open until and who can use it?
The leisure building is open from 10am - 7pm. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult in their party at all times, otherwise all guests can use the facilities at any time during their stay.
- Do you have onsite EV charging?
No, unfortunately not yet. The nearest charge point is Knighton Community Centre. It is strictly prohibited to charge EV from your lodge at Black Hall.
- What time do we have to depart on our departure date?
10am is the departure time. Check out on Sundays is 12pm.
- Are there smoking areas on the park?
Yes, there are ash trays provided on the lodge decking areas and outside the leisure building.
- What household appliances are provided in the lodge?
All the lodges have the standard household appliances; these include toaster, kettle, saucepans, crockery, microwave and cutlery/utensils.
- Can we arrange a grocery delivery to our lodge?
Yes we have regular visits from Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys please arrange delivery for after 4pm (on your day of arrival).
- Do you provide toiletries, washing up liquid etc?
We provide a small starter amount, however we do not provide additional toilet rolls, bin bags, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets.
- Do we need to book to use the Swimming Pool?
Booking is no longer required for the leisure facilities. They are open daily between 10am - 7pm.

- How do I claim a lost item?
Please contact us directly so you can arrange a courier. Items are only stored for 14 days.
- Do you offer an NHS discount?
Hoseasons currently offer an NHS/Blue Light discount, please contact them to have this discount applied.
- Do you accept Hen/Stag/Group parties?
Unfortunately we do not accept any group parties except mixed age familes.
- Does anywhere deliver takeaways to the lodges?
Chandos Kebab House & Knighton Plaice (Fish & chips) both deliver to Black Hall. There is also an Indian & Chinese in Knighton but this requires collection.
- Can we travel to you by train?
Our nearest train stations are Knighton (5 miles) and Knucklas (2 miles), however we strongly recommend not travelling by rail due to limtied taxi options. If you do plan to travel by rail, please pre book a taxi to ensure you have transport to our park.
